Colourpop Haul and Review (Here Comes the Sun, Aquarius, Blow Me Away)

Blow Me Away, Aquarius, Here Comes the Sun
Blow Me Away, Aquarius, Here Comes the Sun

Colourpop Cosmetics has been launching new products constantly. They're very trendy, very affordable and I decided to pick up some items. Since I live in Canada, I look for affordable shipping when buying internationally. Colourpop does fit the bill, and I was happy with their shipping price, and timing.

I have some of their Super Shock Shadows, that has a bouncy consistency. They're not really a cream and not really a shadow. You kinds have to try them yourself to see what they're like. I do like the look of them but I don't like applying a shadow with my finger. I have small lid space, and I feel like it gets messy really fast, if i'm not careful. I really wanted to try their pressed shadows and Ultra Satin lipstick. I purchased the Blow Me Away shadows, the Here Comes the Sun Blush and Highlighter duo and the Aquarius Ultra Satin Lipstick.

The Blow Me Away palette has four shades that can be removed from the palette. I believe you can take out the cardboard section and use the magnetic box like a z palette. It has one shimmer shade, and 3 matte shades.

Take a Break- Metallic
Issues- Matte
Centerfold- Matte
Slim Fit- Matte

I was really impressed with these shades and think it's great for summer. It is a limited edition palette, and it is currently out of stock. I paid 12$ US for these shades, and I think that was very affordable. I will probably add these to my Tarte Magnetic palette. I think Take a Break, Issues and Centerfold are great every day shades. Slim Fit is very bright, but looks cute on my outer V.

I also purchased the Here Comes the Sun Blush and Highlighter palette (12.80$.) The first time I used it, I thought- this is not powder. It's closed to their Super Shock Shadow consistency, similar to those Maybelline Bouncy Blushes. Once I figured out my Real Techniques Sculpting brush and Real Techniques Setting brush work really well to pick up the products, I was really happy. I love both the blush and highlighter.

The Ultra Satin Lip in Aquarius (6$) is a great nude shade, and I think the formula is very comfortable. It lasts on my lips and doesn't dry them out. I love Kathleenlights and I've never been disappointed in her collaborations before. This was no different.

Have you tried Colourpop? What do you think? I have a few other products in the mail.

  3. You’re right about the texture of the eyeshadows. They’re not quite a powder, not quite cream. I layer mine (I own Desert) over MAC Rubenesque paint pot. If you’re interested in more Colourpop things, I have done several reviews and posts on what I own.

    1. Oh, I'll have to check out your reviews. I feel like Colourpop reduced the shipping price to Canada recently. I'm more interested when shipping is affordable.

  7. I never order directly from CP site as too many people get hit by custom charges. Thankfully I am in many Canadian FB beauty groups where many beauty enthusiasts buy and then sell them to people like me who is too cheap to pay custom charges. LOL!

  11. I've only tried the ColourPop highlighters and the matte lip creams. I love the creamy highlighters, but I was unimpressed with the lip creams. The ones I got showed up much darker on my lips than they did in the tube, and they left my lips feeling sticky.
