Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Review (Bronzed Bell, Kitten Karma)

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Review
Bronzed Bell and Kitten Karma

I'm sure you've heard of these Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow shadows. When they released, I saw review after review of them. I purchased Bronze Bell during the summer and I recently received Kitten Karma for review. Both of these shades are stunning. The sparkle is gorgeous and leaves an intense shimmer on your eyes. There are 11 shades listed on the Stila website. These glitters are gel-cream consistency and long wearing. You do have minimal fall out- to counteract this I like to use a glitter glue when I apply them.

In general, I don't wear a lot of cream shadows. I have small lid space and slightly hooded eyes. I find working with creams to be difficult. Creams tend to look messy and uneven on my eyes. I was afraid I would have a similar experience with these, and I did when I went in with the doe foot applicator. What really worked for me was wearing them over a shadow. This sets down a base color and I use a small detail brush to apply these over. A small amount of product is easier to work with, and dries much faster. This is my preferred method.

Stila released a few duochrome eyeshadows and I would love to try them. They seem to have less glitter but the same high shine. If you have a chance to swatch any of these Magnificent Metals, please do. You'll be surprised by how shiny they are.

Overall, these are beautiful shadows. I'm not a cream eye shadow person, and I love these. At the end of the day removing them does take time because the glitter breaks down and has to be removed from your face. In Canada these retails for 31$ which I think is fair. You have alot of product in each tube. I've seen some holiday kits of these released, and it's very tempting.

Disclaimer: I did receive Kitten Karma from PR. All opinions are my own.

  2. I have one of these and love it! But like u, I really do not like cream shadows. The shape of my eye makes everything smear in my crease. But I still like to use this on the outer corner of my lid. I just love glitter so I had to try one at least.

  10. The shades look very pretty, but I am not sure if they weren´t a little too glittery for my taste.

  11. I've only seen and read great reviews and I want to try them so badly! I try not to splurge on eyeshadow since I don't wear it enough but I'm so tempted by the holiday sets! The colours are so stunning and I just love glittery eyes.

  12. I have been lusting over these since they released. I don't wear much glitter shadows so I let it go last time but regretted as these are so pretty to the eyes. Reading your review and the swatches I am tempted again. I have seen some mini gift sets which are very tempting and easy on pocket. :-)
