Makeup Revolution Reloaded Newtrals 2 (Review and Swatches)

Makeup Revolution Reloaded Newtrals 2 (Review and Swatches)

The Newtrals Vs Neutrals palette really caught on a few years ago, right around the time Too Face launched their Peach palette and the Makeup Revolution palette was seen as a good alternative. I really enjoyed the Newtrals Vs Neutrals palette and was excited to purchase this version 2 palette. As I've mentioned before, the Reloaded palettes by Revolution Beauty (formerly Makeup Revolution) are very affordable and some of their most popular palettes. I ordered this Newtrals 2 palette along with the Fever (here) palette.

The colors in this palette are gorgeous, and really appeal to me. I've used it a few times, and the mattes are beautiful but the shimmers need help. They don't swatch well, and I do have to foil the shimmers when I wear them on my eyes. Honestly, it's a bit of a miss for me because it's not as nice as I expected. Yes, it's 7$ but the other Reloaded palettes perform better for me. I do have other palettes with similar colors and tend to just grab those palettes because they work better. Again, the mattes work well, it's the shimmers that are lack luster and I look for a shimmery lid. These just don't do it for me.

Recently, Revolution Beauty launched a third version of this palette. It's a bit deeper in toned and more purple. I placed an order, and will be trying it out soon. I hope I like it more than the Newtrals 2 palette. Overall, the Reloaded palettes have been "hits" for me but the Newtrals 2 is the only one that I've tried so far that I'm not really happy with. Again, it's only 7$, it won't break the bank if you want to try it.

  2. This looks like a lovely collection of colours but sadly too warm-toned for me. You can't go wrong at that price though! xx
