Two Face Products I've Been Loving (L'Oreal Lumi Glotion, Marcelle Luminous Face Power)

I love a radiant glow to my skin, it doesn't have to be really dewy but I like a healthy natural glow. These two products have been added into my base makeup routine and I've been so happy with them. Both are affordable products which I love. The L'Oreal Lumi Glotion has been talked about alot but I didn't pick it up until recently. At the same time, I saw the Marcelle Luminous Face Powder and I was very curious. I had used the regular translucent powder before and thought it was good.

Let's start with the Glotion. If you're familiar with the L'Oreal Magic Lumi, the Glotion is much less intense. This might be something more up your alley, if the Magic Lumi was too much for you. You could wear this on it's own as a light layer on the skin, or build it up and have a more intense glow. It builds very well. While I have worn it on it's own, I mostly wear it under a light/medium foundation. It's not marketed as a primer, but I use it as a primer. Technically, it claims to wear well "under or over" makeup. I'm sure you can use it as a liquid highlighter as well. I haven't tried that though. The product comes in a squeeze tube, with no pump. Dispensing the product is very easy with the little nozzle. I have the lightest shade, you can choose from four shades in the range. I've also heard Youtubers compare it to the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter but less intense, and much less expensive.

The Marcelle Luminous Face Powder was a product I was curious about, but the powder looked like it would be too dark on my fair skin. I knew their regular translucent power was also pink tinted but still translucent on the skin, I decided to still give this one a try. The Luminous version surprised me by applying translucent-despite its darker tint. It does not darken my foundation which I was really happy about. The luminosity that this powder gives is nice and not too radiant. I find it similar to my Milani Prep Set and Glow powder. I also use a setting spray/face mist and don't have any issues with this looking too cakey or powdery on my skin.

Have you tried any of these?

  4. Having oily skin I stay away from luminous primers and foundations. But that powder looks interesting to me, even though I have not heard much of that brand. Milani prep set and glow in on my list too. :-)
