Karity | Rose All Day (Review and Swatches)

Karity | Rose All Day Review and Swatches

The Karity Rose All Day palette has been on my wishlist since it was first released. I picked it up in October and couldn't wait to create some pink eye looks. I previously purchased their Just Peachy Palette (review) and their Nudes and Rudes (review) palette which I enjoyed both. The Rose All Day palette seemed fun and different and I was so excited but as I tried this palette I realized it wasn't what I was expecting. This palette really lacked pigmentation. Let's get into it....

This palette really let me down and I didn't like any of the looks that I came up with. I really wanted to like this palette, and I kept trying but it's a "no" for me. I like to use a transition shade and build my crease color from there. Bottled Up has no pigmentation on my fair skin, Drunchies also wouldn't build on my skin. L'chaim, Corked, and Salub also didn't build well and I struggled to create a dimensional look. I really felt stuck with this palette and didn't want to pick it back up. The shimmers also didn't work well for me. There wasn't much variety and only one that really stood out to me, which was brut. Some of the colors were pigmented and really nice, but when half the palette doesn't work for you, you don't want to try anymore.

Again, this wasn't the first time I tried Karity but now I'm hesitant to pick up more from the brand. I really wanted to try their new red/berry Picante palette but I'm going to wait until I see more reviews and swatches.

  5. Thank you for your honest review, this is definitely not for me then. I have seen a few reviews on this brand online and everyone seems to say the eyeshadows are some of the best. Mind you, they were mostly PR samples hence I read the reviews with a pinch of salt.

  6. I'm always looking for pinks and I really appreciate that you were honest. The pinks shades are so pretty and it would appear to be a fabulous find but sometimes things aren't what they are in the pan. What a bummer.

  7. Oh dear! This brand is new to me but the whole look of the palette is tempting. We can see in the swatches that some shades do lack pigmentation. Thanks for your honest thoughts Jennifer. :-)
