The Body Shop | Drops of Youth: Youth Bouncy Eye Mask Review

The Body Shop | Drops of Youth: Youth Bouncy Eye Mask Review

This little jar from the Body Shop has really settled into my skincare routine and I've been loving it. I didn't know how much I needed an eye cream until I started using one and saw the difference. The skin around my eye needs hydration, just as much as the rest of my skin. This Youth Bouncy Eye Mask can be used as a mask or an eye cream. I tend to use it as an eye cream at night and sometimes in the morning. It has a thin formula, it is not sticky and feels so cooling and refreshing on the eye area.

According to The Body Shop, to use as a cream; use a pea size amount and gently tap around the eye area. To use as a mask, apply a thin layer under your eyes and leave to rest overnight. They do claim that the cream instantly cools down the skin by 1.5 °C and I will tell you that the cooling sensation is instantly noticeable and relaxing. I noticed I was grabbing for this jar over another cream, simply because I liked the cooling aspect. It is vegan, enriched with cucumber extract and plant stem cells (Edelweiss, criste marine, and sea holly.) It is formulated without mineral oil, paraffin and petrolatum. The texture reminds me of gel, but less thick. It sinks into the skin quickly and doesn't bother my eyes over night.

I've also used the Drops of Youth Foaming wash, and will need to replace it soon. You can read my review of the cleanser here. I really enjoyed the cleanser as well. As for my dark circles, I didn't really see a difference but in all honesty, I haven't been sleeping the best and wouldn't expect to see a difference until I have my sleeping solved. While this is a small jar, a little goes a long way and it will last longer than you think.

  1. I'm just finishing up the Drops of Youth Essence (enjoyed it) and I still love the exfoliating gel from that line, so I'd definitely try this eye mask!
