Weekly Makeup Roundup (BH Cosmetics, Morphe, QUO, Mac Cosmetics, Dior, Maybelline, It Cosmetics)

Weekly Makeup Roundup (BH Cosmetics, Morphe, QUO, Mac Cosmetics, Dior, Maybelline, It Cosmetics)

It's Friday and time for another weekly round up and chat. It's my son's birthday party is tomorrow, and I can't believe he turns 5 on Monday. We're fully decorated for Christmas and my inlaws are visiting, they should be arriving tonight. It's going to be a busy weekend. I did take Monday off to spend the day with my little man for his birthday. This week I focused on the BH Cosmetics Desert Oasis palette, and I did dip back into the Morphe 12S palette. I will review the BH palette next week. I tried a variety of shades but I really want to dip into the blues. For my eyeshadow rotation, I want to try using more of my high end palettes. I need to make a point of pulling one out a week.

For foundation, I went with my Maybelline Fit Me Dewy and Smooth and it didn't play well with my Marcelle Luminious Loose Powder. I was surprised that my nose would look so powdery, even with a small amount of powder, and setting spray. I also used my Dior Nude Glowing Foundation, I love this foundation. It's not too dewy and not matte- it's a great every day foundation. I do use it quite often. I've been going a little more full coverage since the colder weather has come. I also used my It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye concealer. I like this concealer and it does blend out nicely. It's thick and needs to be warmed up on your finger before applying it. You don't need alot of product. I need to use it more because I tend to grab the concealers with a doe foot but this is a good full coverage concealer.

The last two things I put into my rotation is my Mac Paint Pot in Painterly and a Quo face palette. If I'm hydrating my eyes well, I really like using my paint pot but if I'm not hydrating my eye area this base can exaggerate fine lines and look drying.  I prefer using my paint pot because I feel like my eyeshadows look the best on top of it. I've actually put different bases on my arm and tested out eyeshadow, and they looked the best on my Paintery. Yes, I like playing with makeup... As for the Quo face palette, I really liked this. The bronzer is shimmery but doesn't look bad on the skin- it's very light and great for the winter months. The blush is more nude but glowing and I've been really enjoying glowy blushes. As for the highlighter, it's subtle but pretty. I mostly pulled in other highlighters this week and used the Desert Oasis for highlighters.

I hope you all had a great week, and enjoy the weekend.

  6. Hope your son had a wonderful birthday girl! Quick question- do u think the Dior foundation would be good for someone who has dry skin around the nose and mouth? I struggle so bad around the winter to find one that works with these issues.

    1. I have dry skin and no issues with the foundation. It’s not dewy, more of a satin/natural finish.
