Morphe 9A | Always Golden Review and Swatches

Morphe 9A | Always Golden Review and Swatches

The Morphe 9 pan palettes were previously Ulta Beauty exclusives and as a Canadian I didn't bother to order and pay for customs. When I saw them on Sephora Canada for 16$, I purchased the three that were available. This Always Golden Palette soon became a favorite with the 9B (review) Bronze Babe palette. These little palettes would be great for beginners and those of us who are in a hurry and don't want to think too much about color selection. You can grab this 9 pan palette, and get a complete look which I do appreciate. It also has enough shades to give you options.

While I don't necessarily prefer smaller palettes; I have no issues with a 35 pan palette- it is nice to have smaller palettes too. I like a smaller palette when I'm in a hurry, when I don't want to think too much about my makeup and when I'm travelling. This smaller palette has the hard plastic Morphe housing with a mirror; and would be great for travel or to have in your purse. The 3 shimmers offer a nice range for eye looks. They're not as metallic as i'm use to from Morphe, but they do give you a pretty look on the lid. I will say Morphe Shimmers in this plastic housing seems to be pressed harder in the pan and the shimmers are hard to pick up when you first use them. Once you've worked in the pan the first time, I have no issues picked them up with a brush after. The 5 mattes are perfect for neutral looks, and while they look similar they do give you enough variety. The black Storm shade is pigmented! Much more pigmented than I expected and great to use for liner and/or smoking out the lower lash.

If I had to choose between the bronze palette and this one, I honestly couldn't choose between the two. This one I received an extra 20% off when Sephora had their sale. I did find the 9B and 9C in store at Sephora, but the 9A was only available online for me. Did I mention that I love having Morphe in Sephora?

  3. Lovely palette, but too many browns for me! I need some pops of colour on my pale complexion. Glad you love it.
