ColourPop Sol Palette (Review and Swatches)

ColourPop Sol Palette (Review and Swatches)

Colourpop recently had free worldwide shipping, and one of the palettes that I picked up was the Sol palette. I had my eye on it for awhile and thought this would be a great time to pick it up. For some reason I thought this palette would be more red and less orange. When I first opened it up, I thought....oh, this wasn't what I expected. However, I really come to enjoy this palette.

I really like the smaller 9 pan palettes that have been released, this is the first one I purchased. It is a smaller palette in comparison with their regular 12 pan palettes. This one has white plastic packaging,  and it comes in a mirror. It feels very sturdy. The size of the pans are smaller than other palettes. I believe they're the same size as the 12 pan palettes. The size doesn't bother me at all because it was 12$ and I never hit pan on shadows because my collection is so large. I really don't need the larger pans. Powdered products really take a long time to use up.

As I said before, I did think this was going to be more red but it is very orange. The shimmers are absolutely stunning! The top middle shade is the one shimmer that I always gravitate towards when I open the palette. All of the shimmers are gorgeous though. The mattes blend and build beautifully, the dark down shade could be a little more pigmented for my liking. I would like to use it to add a bit more depth and line my eyes but it's not that dark.

Colourpop has a great pressed shadow formula and I've really been enjoying their palettes lately. I go back to my other palettes often and will continue to purchase from them. I will keep my eye open for more free Worldwide shipping. At this time, the new Through My Eyes palette is on my wishlist.

This palette can be purchased at Colourpop Cosmetics for 12$

  1. I find these smaller palettes more manageable - sometimes too many shades can be overwhelming! Lovely palette!
