Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara (Review) A new favorite.

Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara (Review) A new favorite.
Benefit's Badgal Bang mascara has quickly become a favourite, which says a lot because I'm picky when it comes to mascara. I need all the help I can get with volume and length. This mascara claims to be a 36 hours mascara, that "creates massive volume without weighing down the lashes." I did not test the 36 hours, because who needs a 36-hour mascara? I remember the brand trips when this first launched and it was spaced themes which I didn't really understand until I read that this was a "gravity-defying formula [that] builds volume the more you layer, and contain aero-particles, one of the lightest known materials, derived from space technology." That put it into perspective for me, and I do really find it to be a lightweight formula.

The reason I tested out this mascara was because it was included in a Shoppers Drug Mart sampler set. I set included 9 mascaras and a gift certificate voucher that you can redeem for a full-size product. I fully expected to redeem my full size for the Lancome Monsieur Big mascara because that's a great mascara. Spoiler: I redeemed for the Badgal Bang. I was really surprised by how much I love this mascara. It was a great wand, easy to use and works great for the bottom lashes as well. As you build the mascara, you have more and more volume and length. It doesn't clump either. It is very black and doesn't flake throughout the day. I also like that it isn't too difficult to remove at the end of the day.

Overall verdict: I'm really happy that I tried this mascara. I do have a full size, and my full size came with a free mini. I'm happy for the backups. Mascara samplers are a great way to test out higher end mascaras, they mini's still last for quite a while.

  2. I haven't had much luck with Benefit mascaras - I always find them to wet to work with so I would definitely only get a sampler of this one if I went for it.

  3. I really like this mascara! When it launched, I didn't want to like it because of the ridiculous hype & launch but it's so good! xx

  8. I really like mascara samples for that same reason too. I haven't tried that particular mascara, but never had much luck with other Benefit offers, they just didn't work with my lashes.

  9. I've heard so many good things about this mascara but haven't tried it yet! I agree, sample sizes are the best, I don't wear makeup often so I can never use a full tube before it expires, haha!

Hope that your week is going well :)

  11. I have not tried this mascara from Benefit but I love the Real mascara a lot. The L'Oreal lash paradise is also my favorite. I try not to spend on high end mascaras unless I am getting the mini ones free for the Sephora points. I will have to check this one out though. :-)
