Benefit Cheekleaders Mini Bronze Squad Review and Swatches

Benefit Cheekleaders Mini Bronze Squad Review and Swatches

The larger Benefit blush palettes have been around for a while, but they recently released mini versions which were more appealing to me. The large blush palettes always seemed bulky and pretty high priced. In Canada it sells for 80$ and the larger cardboard is what I don't like about the palettes. These mini versions cost 40$ and come in a much sleeker cardboard packaging. I decided to pick up the bronze mini palette because it fits into an "all in one category" for me. I thought all three products would work on my fair skin and it would help speed up my morning routine. The bronze palette has Gold Rush, Cookie, and Hoola bronzer. There is also a pink version which has Galifornia, Tickle, and Dandelion which are sold as individuals. I would like to get that version as well.

Gold Rush is a warm golden- nectar blush and it's very pretty on my fair skin. If you have a darker complexion I'm not sure this blush would show up on your skin. For me, I use a dense blush brush and I'm able to layer this blush quite a bit. I really like it because I don't have to worry about overdoing it, too quickly. I rather have a blush to build than one that's too pigmented. Cookie is a pearl highlighter that shifts golden. It's very pretty and I really wish they would release this as a single. Hoola is a matte bronzer that builds well. I only need a little bit, and I apply it with a natural haired brush. Natural brushes pick up less product which helps when a bronzer can be too dark on you if you apply too much.

Overall: I'm really happy with this mini palettes. The larger blush palettes do give you more for your money, but I like these smaller palettes due to the size and packaging. It will still take me a long time to go through these products. Powder products take a long time to go through, much longer than you think. If you're interested in these mini versions, I would recommend them. I do plan to get the pink version as well. These are limited edition, I'm not sure how long they're expected to be on the shelves.

  3. Gold rush is sooo pretty! And I've never heard of cookie before but it's gorgeous too. I wish they could switch up hoola as I've had so many samples of it but I guess lots of people like it.

  4. I heard so much about the Cookie Highlighter and I reallyy want to try it out! I tried the Hoola Bronzer some years ago and it was way too warm for me, so I don´t know how I would feel about it now.

    I´m following you now! :)

  5. Mini palettes are always so convenient and less pricey and last a long time. I love picking up the mini version. That highlighter looks gorgeous. This is the first time I heard about Cookie highlighter. But the blush is pretty. You are right it does not show up much on my skin tone but give a hint of warmth to my cheeks. :-)
