Boxycharm April 2019 Unboxing (Peace, Love and Boxy) Canadian Subscriber

Do you remember mystery bags when we were children and how excited we were to dig into those bags? They had candy or small toys. Well, that's how I feel about monthly subscription boxes and why I think they do so well. They cater to your interest. and these monthly subscriptions tap into our inner children. Boxycharm costs me 35$ Canadian once I factor in the small shipping cost and the exchange rate, on the plus side I'm never charges customs. The box itself is valued way over 100$ when you think of Canadian prices. So, let's get into this box.

This month Boxycharm's theme is festival with Coachella happening this month. We often receive palettes, which I love and this month we all received the Pur Cosmetics Pressed Pigment Festival palette (Purchase 36$ US). This palette has 12 shades and consists of pressed pigments, shimmers and two pressed glitters. Pressed glitters are very popular right now and I'm excited to try this palette out. I've been happy with Pur palettes in the past, and will do a full review. We also received a Luxie Brush set called Summer Daze (Purchase 28$ US) which has a contour brush, shader brush and a large fluffier shader. I've been happy with the brushes I received in these boxes in the past and I have a small travel Luxie set that I keep in my work makeup bag. They work perfectly and wash very well. We also all received an Artist Coutour Diamond Glow powder (Purchase 35$ Can), two shades were available and I received the Summer Haze shade. It's a peachy highlighter and looks pretty swatches. The next two items depended on which box variation you received and my box had the Butter London Power Up Mascara (Purchase 20$ US). I do love testing out mascara's so I was happy to see this. I haven't opened it yet because I want to get through some mascaras but will do a review at some point. I also received a Starlooks Ultra-Gem Longwear Eye pencil (Purchase 19$ US) It's a greyish, blue shade which is different from what I have.

Overall, I was really happy with this box. I'm excited to try each item, none of them seem like something I wouldn't like. I love Boxycharm because the value is much higher than you pay and you get to try products that you normally wouldn't seek out. I do have a referral link if you would like to sign up Boxycharm and a code Jenni-CLAWOVMU. This is not an affiliate link but it will help me earn charms that I can use to purchase items in their shop.

*I do purchase Boxycharm on my own. This post does contain affiliate links, which I will earn a small commission. This is at no cost to you. Thanks for supporting Mrs Q Beauty.

  4. I did not like this month's box. I don't care too much for the palette. I do love the brushes though! I guess it's because I'm not into festivals.
