Cover FX Perfector Face Palette (Light/Medium) Review and Swatches

Cover FX Perfector Face Palette (Light/Medium) Review and Swatches

Cover FX recently released two Perfector face palettes, one in light/medium and another in medium/deep. I received the light/medium in a recent Boxycharm subscription box. This palette can be purchased from Sephora for the price of 57$ Canadian. When you open this palette, you will see two highlighters, a brightener, contour, finishing powder, and blush. As a working mom, I like palettes that I can use for multiple purposes and be able to do my makeup quickly. This palette claims to be "a travel-friendly palette of six must-have complexion essentials designed to be taken on-the-go."

When I first opened the palettes I thought it looked nice but I worried that the highlighters would be too hard on my fair skin. They were, but I was able to mix them with the brightener shade to be able to use them. The contour and blush blend very easily. I would have preferred more of a bronzer shade, but it still looks good. The finishing powder does have tiny reflects in it, but it does look nice on the skin and it doesn't seem glittery. I don't really feel the need to use the finishing powder, but it is there if I need it. If you like a matte powder, you might not like this powder.  like that that this face palette is a one-stop shop for face powder products. It is housed in a hard plastic package and has a mirror, I do think it would travel very well.

Below are swatches of the shades, and I also mixed the highlighter with the brightener and applied with a brush after the blush swatch. This will allow you to see that they can be applied much lighter than it looks in the pan. I am happy with this palette, if I wanted a perfect palette for me I would have made a few changes but I can make it work for me.

  2. Great Post! The palette looks very interesting to me, I would love to try that out! I would probably not spend 45$ on it, but it´s a great deal to get it in the boxycharm! :)
