Lip Products | Easy, Quick, No Fuss

Lip products have never been my favourite items when it comes to makeup, my weakness has always been eyeshadow. I slowly kept adding products into my rotation and now I've started to be more curious about lip products. When it comes to lip products I want something comfortable on the lips, I don't want to worry about it slipping and sliding and looking awful throughout the day. I want something that I can apply quickly, easily and no make a fuss over it. I do work full time, and I want a lip product to wear away without it looking bad and I don't have to worry about it.

Fenty Gloss Bomb in Fussy

The Fenty Gloss Bombs have been raved about since they were released and I was really curious about all the hype. I thought the shade Fussy would suit me best and decided to give it a try. The formula is lightweight, non-sticky and leaves a nice colour on my lips. It also smells wonderful when applying. I will say the applicator does pick up a lot of product and I usually wipe some off before applying to my lips, otherwise, it's way too much and feels too thick on my lips. At this time, Fenty has 3 shades available and I would love to own the others as well. You can wear them on their own or apply on top of other lip products.

Revlon Plumping Lip Creme in Nude Honey

This lip cream comes in a variety of shades and when applying it feels like a coloured creamy lipstick. I really like that these are hydrating and pigmented. It does claim to plump your lips, and I don't see any plumping effect on my lips but it does feel cooling. Many plumping products burn your lips and these do not do that. It has a cooling sensation similar to a mint balm which I do like. It has a plastic applicator and a squeeze tube and applies easily but doesn't last very long. It's pretty subtle.

Revlon Cushion Lip Tint in 230 Naughty Mauve and 290 Extra Violet

These were interesting to me, I had never tried a cushion applicator. They come in 10 shades and reminded me of the Lancome Shakers. These are lip stains that have the comfort of a lip balm and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed these. When you first use this, you have to twist quite a bit to get the product up into the cushion but after that, it's easy to use. The sponge applicator makes it easy to apply and the stain does make it longer lasting. You will need to reapply throughout the day, it's not an all day stain. Overall, these are very hydrating and comfortable on the lips and I will add more shades to my collection.

Covergirl Outlast All Day 105 Rich Caramel

Out of all these products, this has the longest lasting power. It lasts the majority of the day. It wears away evenly, and you can reapply it hours later and it still looks good. It has a lip product and matching lip gloss which works as a moisturizing top coat. The lip product is kiss-proof, but the gloss with transfer which is typical. It did not feel drying on my lips throughout the day which I was expecting. It wore very comfortably even when the gloss wore away. I have a feeling these have been discontinued or repackaged because they're hard to find online.

Rimmell Provocalips 430 Wish Upon A Berry

The Rimmell Provocalips did not last as long as the Covergirl but it is my favourite between the two because I liked the clear gloss and it was even more kiss proof. It claims to last 16 hrs and it does last hours, but not 16. I did have to reapply throughout the day. It did not feeling drying on the lips, wore away evenly and could be reapplied without looking patchy. The clear gloss amped up the shine and didn't transfer too much or feel sticky on the lips. I really wish they had more nude lip colours in this line. I really enjoy this product.

*Disclaimer: Some of these products have been purchased by me. I have also been sent some in consideration for review.
