NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil Review

NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil Review

The NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil is part of a new collection. The collection tag line is "Feels Like Nothing, and Looks Like Nothing" which was intriguing to me since I've been loving sheer coverage products. In this collection, there is also a multitasking spray, hydrating jelly primer, and cheek tints. I was sent a few of these products to review, and I'll start with the skin veil.  If you're wondering if it's a BB Cream, I would say it's more of a tinted moisturizer. It is available in twelve shades, vegan, and delivers up to 8 hrs of hydration. As a person with dry skin, I'm always looking for hydrating. This product has a satin finish which looks very natural and healthy on the skin.

The Tinted Skin Veil has quickly become a product that I look forward to using. While it has a satin finish, and I prefer a dewy look; I can adjust this by the primer or products I add with it. A glowy primer or a setting spray will amp up the radiance to this product which I love. The squeeze tube is also great for travel and throwing into a makeup bag. I apply this product directly on my sponge and blend in, you can build it up a little bit but it is still sheer. You do forget that you have a base product applied to your face because it is so weightless. It does provide enough hydration throughout the day.

Overall I really love this product and will continue to use it and will repurchase. I love that I can still get a dewy look while using this. During the summer months, this will also be great. If you have oily skin, I don't think this would be for you. I'm excited to try the other products in this collection and review those as well.

  2. I find it interesting that you use a sponge, for these types of products I always find sponges to be very diluting. It will barely even show up on me. But, to each their own! 😊

    1. I agree, if you want a bit more coverage a brush would be best. I've been enjoying a VERY natural, sheer base and the sponge helps with that.

    1. I heard someone compared it to the Milk Jelly Primer. I'll have to pick it up and try it.

  5. it sounds like a lovely product, although maybe not an all-year round one for me as with the humidity in summer here in Queensland I need more matte products, haha!

Hope that you are having a great week :)

  7. I love that it gives a light coverage, although I also do prefer a dewy look, so good to know it can be adjusted!
