Pur Festival Palette (Boxycharm Collaboration) Review and Swatches

Pur Festival Palette (Boxycharm Collaboration)

Pur's Festival palette is a newer palette added to my collection. It was included in a recent Boxycharm subscription box, and looking into the palette I learned that this palette was a collaboration with Boxycharm. It is limited edition and intended for one-of-a-kind festival looks with blue light defence. While I'm not a festival goer, my first thoughts of this palette were that I could wear it. It has neutrals, a few pops of colour, and two glitter pigments which make it different from my other palettes. At this time, I only have one other palette with pressed glitters. I was excited to see how this palette would perform since I own the Soiree Diaries palette and really do like it. Going into this palette, I wondered if Pur's formula would be up to par with that palette.

First, I want to mention this palette is labelled as a Pressed Pigment palette which in the past usually has warnings about using them on the eye, and they may stain the eyes. I don't see this warning on the Pur website when trying the shades they didn't stain my eyes either but you might want to be careful with this palette and put down a nice base. The mattes blended and built well, the shimmers are very pretty and the glitters applied with a finger very nicely. I didn't have fall out but would recommend using a glitter glue with the glitters, especially if you have hooded lids. I've come to realize I'm not a big glitter person because it's so difficult to wash off your face at night. It tends to spread around and I don't like seeing the glitter on my face. I do like that I have the option to wear glitter because this palette does contain two shades that are pretty to wear.

This Festival palette is really fun to play around with, and I'm happy to have it for summer. It's on the warm side which is my preference. Pur's eyeshadow palettes perform well for me and I do like the brand. I recently reviewed their Lit Mist which I do enjoy. Pur does seem to be a repeat brand for Boxycharm, and the subscription box is a great way to try products that you wouldn't normally go out and try. If you've been wondering about this palette, I will keep it in my collection and get use out of it. Pur is a cruelty-free brand.

  1. You must have such a collection of palettes! You must do a post on all of them - your most used, loved and overrated!
