The Ordinary Serum Foundation Review

The Ordinary Serum Foundation Review

I've been wanting to try The Ordinary's foundation for a while, and recently decided to give it a try. I've been enjoying trying new complexion products and with spring and summer, I like lighter coverage. Lately, I've been preferring lightweight natural foundations, especially with my current allergies. The Ordinary has this Serum foundation and the Coverage foundation which has more coverage. I decided to give the Serum Foundation a try since they are known to be lightweight products. The foundation does come in 21 shades and was less than 7$ in Canada. It does come with a pump which is always appreciated, and it has 30 ml of product.

When you pump this foundation out, you will notice right away that it is very running giving it that serum feel. It has light to medium coverage, and I had no issues using either a brush or sponge. It was slightly yellow even though I have a neutral shade. This did not sink into any fine lines and worked well with any powders I put on top. I really like this product and not just because it's affordable, it works well with my skin. It's easy to apply, and wear wells. I was very surprised by the results. You don't even feel like you're wearing foundation.

Overall impression; I would repurchase this for sure. I wish they had a better neutral tone but the yellow works for me. I do find myself grabbing for this product quite a bit. Application is quick and easy, it's not a tricky formula like some other base products that I have. I would like to try more from the brand because this was the first product that I've tried. If you have any favourites, please let me know.

    I also feel like experimenting.
A pity that does not have the mark here in Brazil.

  4. I really struggle with oxidising with this foundation. It darkens by about three shades which is such a shame as I like the formula so much xx
