Make Up Forever Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation

Make Up Forever Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation

Fast Facts

-Full Coverage Blurring Foundation
-12 hour wear
-Available in 30 Shades

I'm pretty new to powder foundations and I was excited to give this one a try when it was sent from Make Up Forever. This powder foundation claims to be a full coverage blurring foundation with a matte velvet skin finish. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to apply with the sponge. The sponge has two sides; the black side will give you fuller coverage while the white side will provide
a lighter coverage. It comes in a refillable compact that closes very well for portability.

This product does claim to be good for people with normal, dry, combination and oily skin. As someone with dry skin, I wasn't sure what I would think of this product. I prefer a more radiant finish overall but I did find this product versatile. I was able to wear it alone as a powder foundation, use it as a setting powder and I could add dewiness with a setting spray. My preferred way of wearing this product was to use it as a setting powder. It worked well on my face for the areas I like to set, even under my eyes. It didn't add any heaviness to my under eye area.

Overall thoughts: If you've been wanting to try a powder foundation, give this one a try. It does look nice a fresh on the skin, and you can build up the coverage. It does have a nice blurring effect too. It is available in 30 shades, and you can refill the component. The staying power was pretty good, but I did see it fading by the end of the day. I'm not that familiar with powder foundations but my liquid foundations seemed to hold up a bit better throughout the day. It didn't look cakey or heavy on the skin, and I was very surprised with the results. I will continue to use this as a setting powder, and use it in areas that I want more coverage.
