Wet N Wild My Glamour Squad Palette Review and Swatches (Soft Glam Dupe)

Wet N Wild's My Glamour Squad palette without a doubt resembles the Anastasia Beverly Hill Soft Glam Palette. It has those same warm rusty shades and very similar shimmer shades. If you're looking for a palette that's more affordable this might be one for you. Going into this palette I was hoping to like it more than my "Not a Basic Peach" palette which I didn't like as much as I wanted to. This palette has six matte shades, and 4 shimmers. If I'm comparing it to the previous Wet n Wild palette that I didn't like, I will say this one was better.

I'm a huge eyeshadow palette lover that's not a secret. I have a mix of affordable and high-end palettes and I went into this one not sure what I would think. The colour story is very pretty, and I love those tones on me. The performance of these shadows was good, but not fantastic. I do think they've improved the formula but it still feels very dry. I won't say Wet N Wild has my favourite affordable formula because they don't. They blended well, but I did have to work to blend them. It wasn't effortless like some other palettes, the shimmers were pretty but not as metallic as I would have liked.

Overall thoughts; I do like this palette but that's because I like the colour story. I'm actually considering buying the actual Soft Glam palette because I know it will blend much easier and now I know I love the shade selection. I think this is a great inexpensive palette to have in a work bag or when travelling but I wouldn't go out and repurchase it if I lost it. If Wet N Wild was a little easier for me to get my hands on in Canada I might recommend them more. Shipping to Canada from their site was very expensive and we don't have many retailers that carry their stock. This particular palette seems to be out of stock frequently.

  1. Really pretty shades! Love these little palettes although I agree the quality varies a bit between them.

  2. It's a pity that it's hard work to blend the shadows because the shade selection is beautiful xx
