Physicians Formula The Perfect Matcha 3-1 Melting Cleansing Balm

Physicians Formula The Perfect Matcha 3-1 Melting Cleansing Balm

"An Ultra Gentle 3-in-1 cleaning balm that melts away makeup, deeply cleans away impurities and leaves the skin fully supply and hydrated."

-Physicians Formula

The Physicians Formula Melting Cleansing Balm is a new addition to the drugstore. I always double cleanse and a balm is my preferred method to use for makeup remover. I purchased this myself and couldn't wait to see how it performed. The balm is packed with antioxidants, enriched with Matcha Green Tea, Bamboo Shoot, and Lotus Extract. It is also free from mineral oils but does contain fragrance.

When opening the container it has an inner cover with a spatula sitting on top. I really do like the addition of the spatula, especially for an affordable brand. It makes it easy to apply the product to the face and it keeps the product clean in the container. The balm itself is not too thick and not very oily when initially applying it to the skin. The texture has a really nice consistency. It does melt down quickly when using circular motions with your fingers and it does a very good job breaking up the makeup. As a contact lens wearer, it doesn't burn my eyes or leave a film on my contacts. As for my eye makeup, it does remove the bulk of it but it's best to go in with micellar water afterwards to get the final remnants of mascara. When rising the balm off your face, it does rinse off very easily. My skin tolerated this balm very well.

Overall impressions; I really like this balm and would repurchase. It doesn't feel stripping on my face or drying. I do moistures and follow a full skincare regime after using this. I do wish it removed mascara a little better though. I don't always want to go in with micellar water. While it does have fragrance the product isn't overly fragranced. I would prefer if it didn't have the added ingredient. Physicians Formula does mention that it's hypoallergenic, paraben free, gluten free, vegan and cruelty-free.

  6. I remember having this! I love how this felt against my skin. That's annoying how it doesn't remove mascara.

  7. I have this cleansing balm as well and I really enjoy it! I first use micellar water all over my face as a first cleanse, then follow with this balm and it works wonderfully. It smells great too, but agree that the added fragrance wasn't necessary.
