Drugstore Wishlist Items (Rimmell, Bourjois, L'Oreal, Pixi, Annabelle)

We all have those wishlist items and I wanted to share my newest drugstore wishlist items with you. My makeup collection is a mix of high end, and drugstore items. While I love shopping at Sephora, I also love browsing the drugstores to see what is available. The first item that I recently added to my list is the Rimmel London Oh My Gloss Lip gloss. I don't tend to wear a long lasting lipstick day to day but I do like wearing a gloss that leaves my lips feeling hydrated and I like the addition of a little bit of color. This gloss claims to last up to 6 hours, and I'm curious if that's true. I also added the Bourjois Health Mix Foundation. I do own this foundation but I've heard that they've changed the formula. I'm curious about the new formula and seeing if I still love it as much as the old one. The Bourjois Health Mix foundation is a great every day foundation for me. I hope I like the new one, just as much as the older version. The l'Oreal Brow Stylist is on my list to try. I'm curious about how it will compare to the Maybelline Precise Brow. I will keep any eye on a sale for this one, because I don't really need another brow pencil right now, but if I see it on sale... I will pick it up. I've been wanting to try a blue colored liner, but I don't want to really buy a high end liner because I don't know if I would like the look on me. I saw Annabelle Cosmetics has a Blue Waterproof Liquid Liner and I thought that would be a great starting point. I hope it's as pigmented as it looks, because it looks like it would be fun to try. Often when I want to try a trend, I'll try drugstore first. The last item on my wishlist is the Pixi Color Corrector. I've heard good things about this one and I would like to try it. I need a color corrector for my under eyes and if this works that would be great.
Do you tend to purchase both high end or drugstore? I love finding good deals and exploring the drugstore. At the same time, some times I want to hold of on the drugstore items and save for those higher end items. As we move into November and December, I will probably not be purchasing as much makeup, Christmas is coming up and I need to prioritize. I will also add some makeup items on my Christmas list, which means I can't buy it for myself.

I’ve heard such amazing things about Pixi as a brand, but I’m yet to actually try any of their products, and I may put their Glow Tonic on my Christmas Wishlist! I tend to go more for drugstore makeup, because I often find products that can do the same, if not a better, job than high end makeup, at a fraction of the price..

I love both high end as well as drug store shopping. I just get lost in the makeup isle in Sephora and all the drugstores in US. December is the month I am looking forward to do lots of shopping as I avoid shopping the whole year. Your wish list includes some interesting products. I want to try the Bourjois serum foundation. The blue eyeliner is looking lovely. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy high end purchase is always Bare Minerals foundations because they don't seem to irritate my skin. But I LOVE drugstore make up, my downfall is nail polishes and lipsticks. I have drawerfuls of both that I never wear but they're like my go to sweet treats, haha. That blue eyeliner looks fun, look forward to hearing how you get on with that!

I am a real mix of high end and drug store! I just keep buying what I find works. My fave drug store is bourjois mascara- I haven't found a better high end one! This post makes me want to buy Healthy Mix again- I used that for quite a while too!

I mix between high end and drug store with most types of make up!
ReplyDeleteI use a mixture! I find that you can get some really good dupes for high end makeup at a fraction of the price! I’d love to try some Pixi products though!

I'm also curious about Pixi's Colour Corrector; especially as the brand always seems to be a firm blogger fave! I feel as though my current beauty wishlist is aaaall about lip shades right now, haha.

I have heard so many good things about the Healthy Mix foundation! Not sure its for my skin concerns but it makes me so curious.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they changed the formula of the healthy mix foundation, it's been years since I've last tried it. I did have a look at the Rimmel gloss, they all looked very nice, though i'm not really a gloss wearer and didn't get it so can't say how long lasting they were. I love shopping at both the drugstore and high end shops too though for different products
