NYX Duochromatic Illuminating Powder, Slip Tease Lip Oil, Away We Glow Highlighter, and Set and Don't Fret It Powder. |
The NYX Duochromatic Illuminating Power released with 5 shades. I tried out the Lavender Steel and wondered if I could really wear it for an every day look. I did and I was really astonished by how much I liked it. While the purple does shine through, it shifts pink - the highlighter really accentuated my cheekbones. It wasn't too over the top purple, or pink. I really did find it gorgeous on the skin. This highlighter didn't sit on my skin, it blended in very nicely and lasted throughout my day. I have stayed away from these duo chromatic shades for fear that they would look too colorful on the cheeks but now I want to try them all. It's really a fun way to wear highlighter.
NYX Slip Tease Full Color Lip Oil is a fully pigmented lip oil with a satin-matte finish. This is one of the most comfortable lip products I've tried in awhile. The applicator makes applying the product very easy and it feels very lightweight and hydrating. It doesn't feel oily at all, it actually feels very silky. As we move into the cooler weather, I'm all about hydrating products and this lip oil was a pleasant surprise. One coat was all I needed. It does transfer but not too bad. I have the shade Lowkey and it's perfect for fall. I will be looking for more of these. At this time there are 12 shades available.
NYX Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter. I love wearing liquid highlighters, and typically blend them in with a dense brush or a small damp sponge. The Away We Glow Highlighter is available in 9 shades and I have the Moonbeam shade- a soft pink pearl. This highlighter blended well on its own and on top of powder. That's important for me because I typically set my face and will wear the highlighter on top. It blended very well and lasted all day. It built up well, you could wear it subtly or more intensely. It also worked great as a base with a powder highlighter on top. If you've been curious about liquid highlighters, I would definitely recommend trying these out.
NYX Mineral Set it and Don't Fret Matte Finishing Power is available in two shades, and I tried out the Light/Medium powder. This powder set my face very nicely and didn't feel drying on my skin. My face felt very smooth and my face powders blended very well on top. The container does allow a lot of powder to come up through the holes, but I was able to gently tap the excess back down which I really did appreciate. This powder didn't make me look cakey or powdery at all.

I love NYX but have never tried these products, you mentioned. Are these all new? I liked the lip oil it's beautiful and I am always afraid of the duochrome highlighters but since you mention I am going to try. The liquid highlighter looks interesting too. :-)

Nyx do some really great products, but I haven't tried any of these ones! I do tend to find that stock can be slightly different between America and the UK :-(

I love NYX products, but I’ve never actually tried any of these particular ones! I’m so intrigued about the ‘Set It And Don’t Fret’ powder - I’m so picky about my powders though, but this is a lot more affordable than my current everyday powder! 🙊
ReplyDeleteThis Full Color Lip Oil sounds lovely, I need to check that out.

I’ve hardly tried anything from Nyx so far but that lip oil sounds really nice, I’m just starting to try and get more into hydrating lip products than just sticking to mattes all the time!
