L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation Review (Raved About Favourite)

L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation Review Cult Favorite

The L'Oreal True Match Lumi foundation has been raved about for years in the beauty community, it has been compared to Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation over and over. Going into this foundation review I expected a lot from this foundation since it has been so hyped up. In general, I really do like L'Oreal foundations both the Pro Glow (Review) and the new Infallible Fresh Wear (Review) are favourites of mine. The True Match Lumi claims to be "makeup that creates skin so healthy-it's luminous!" It has 40% pure water for all-day hydration, antioxidants, Vitamin C and E. The coverage is lightweight and builds to about a medium coverage, available in 14 shades. Let's get into my thoughts.

The first few times I tried this, I didn't see what all the fuss was about. I really expected a luminous glowy foundation but it was more subtle than I thought it would be. Once I stepped back and decided to just get rid of the hype, I reset my expectations and really liked the foundation. It has a very light radiant healthy look. It's very light on the skin, and coverage starts off light and you can build to medium. I prefer a brush when applying this, a sponge soaks up too much of the product. It does have SPF 20 and doesn't seem to have flashback. It also has a very nice controllable pump which I appreciate. It does set tacky and I apply powder to help with blending powder on top. I think I would really like this in the summer month too because it is very light. It claims to have a staying power of 8 hours, but I have no issues with it lasting all day.

If you're looking for a really dewy look- try the infallible Pro Glow, which I love. I really like this foundation for day to day, it reminds me of the Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation. I learned my lesson on this one, don't get caught up in the hype. In the end, I do like this foundation a lot but it's more of an every day radiant natural look.
