Review and Swatches: Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette

Review and Swatches: Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette

The Urban Decay Naked Honey palette launched in 2020 and comes with 12 matte, metallic and shimmer golden neutral shades. This palette consists of "classic golds, warm ambers, and rich chocolate browns." and was inspired by 70's glam. While this palette is not vegan, it is paraben-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, and cruelty-free. The included brush is vegan and cruelty-free and really is a decent brush for eyeshadow application. It is housed in sturdy plastic packaging and it has a nice mirror as well.

The Urban Decay Naked Honey palette was purchased by me during the holidays when it was on sale for 50% off. I always had this palette on my wishlist, but for most of 2020, I didn't wear a lot of eyeshadow. When the cooler weather arrived, I jumped back into wearing a full face of makeup. I realized how much I still enjoyed eyeshadow and decided to take the time for myself. This palette has really exceeded my expectations. While it does seem like a monochromatic palette, I like the ease of use and the range of shades in this palette. Every time I create a look, I'm happy with it. Urban Decay in general, has released some of my most favourite palettes. The shade HBIC is such a gorgeous bronze, I always gravitate towards it. That shade alone makes me want to grab this palette.

The Urban Decay Naked line are still favourites of mine, I find these palettes so user-friendly. I'm a Mom, getting ready in the morning and this palette makes it look like I really took the time to do my makeup, but it's so easy to grab a few shades and create a dimensional look. The shades layer and blend so well together. The yellow undertone in this palette is not too yellow, still neutral but unique in my eyeshadow palette collection. I have a large eyeshadow collection, I need palettes that will add to my collection and stand out or they will get forgotten.

I hope to see more Naked palettes from Urban Decay this year, I would also recommend the Naked Cherry, and the Naked Reloaded palettes. Both of those are staples in my collection. If you like the color story of this palette, I would say go for it. I really love it.

  1. The swatches are gorgeous - this is a palette that I've had my eye on for ages so if I see it on sale, I'll buy it! x
