Real Techniques Instapop Cheek Brush and Eye Brush Duo

Real Techniques Instapop Cheek Brush and Eye Brush Duo

Real Techniques has a great brush range, and the brushes that I own have lived up to years of washing and constant usage. I've had my eye on the Instapop collection for awhile but I never saw them in store and kept putting off purchasing online. When I saw these pop up at my local Winners, I thought it would be a great time to give them a try. The Intapop collection has a cheek brush, eye duo set and a face brush. These brushes are cut at an angle and allow for a full coverage application but still allows you to blend easily.

I have small hooded eyes, and eye brushes can be tricky for me. I like to wing out the shape of the eye shadow but I don't like too much shadow brought in around my inner eye. These brushes allow me to create the shape I like on my outer and inner eye. I use the bigger Instapop brush to put down my transition shade and create the shape I want. I can also bring the shadow a little lower and apply a deeper shade while creating a gradient. The smaller Instapop brush is amazing for putting down and blending my darker "outter v" color. It's also great for my lower lash line. I also think it would be great for shimmer shades and pigments. These brushes hug my eye and really help me create the looks that I want without the struggle. I loved these brushes so much, I bought a second set.

The Instapop Cheek brush is another brush that I love. It's also cut at an angle and really feels like it hugs my cheek and applies blush so well. My favorite blushes are not overly pigmented, and this brush picks up product easily. I can apply the blush and blend it out quickly. It's not too big, so my blush doesn't get brought up too high. If you have a blush that's really pigmented, you're going to have to use a very small amount of product with this brush.

Have you tried these brushes? I first saw Emily Noel do a video on these brushes and I've wanted them ever since.

I'm going to add in Emily Noel's video since she was the one who sold me on these and you can check out the video if you're interested.

  1. I have a few RT brushes but none of these ones. The quality is always excellent! xx

  2. These look like brilliant brushes, I love that they're cut at an angle too, I imagine that's so useful for sculpting :)

  3. They look great! I've been using a similar blush brush but it's super old and probably not as soft as the RT brush. Time for an upgrade, I think!
