Morphe 35M Boss Babe (Review and Swatches)

Morphe 35M Boss Babe (Review and Swatches)

Morphe recently launched the 35M Boss Babe artistry palette, and I couldn't wait to scoop it up. This palette is filled with greens, oranges, purples, neutrals and cranberries. The cranberry shades really sold me on this palette. This palette was available on the Morphe website, and easily accessible to me. They also released the 35V Stunning Vibes palette, but as an Ulta Beauty exclusive I won't be picking it up. The 35M palette is housed in the newer Morphe packaging, it's more squared off and not as generic as their previous 35 pan palettes. I do like the upgrade in packaging, it looks sleek. They have not added a mirror to these palettes, if you've been curious. Personally,  I don't really mind not having a mirror.

The shades in this palette are pretty unique to my collection. It's hard to find new colors when you have a large collection, but I could immediately tell that this palette would stand on its own. I also like that I could find a few neutrals in this palette if I wanted that neutral look. The mattes and shimmers perform well, the shimmers are different from Morphe's typical shimmers shades- these have glitter in them. I was worried about glitter fall out but it wasn't a problem at all. Do keep in mind that I spray my shimmers. I was also worried that this palette didn't have enough transition shades for me, but I learned to work slowly with a fluffy brush and use a small amount of product to start.

I really like the color story of this palette, it really inspired me to pair cranberries and purples. I think it's a great palette for fall and winter. A few of the mattes shades weren't as pigmented as I thought they would be. I didn't really play with the greens much, I don't feel like they look good on me and I typically stay away from those brighter greens. Overall, I really liked this palette. It took me a few tries to become comfortable with this palette.

  1. This is the one palette that has caught my attention from Morphe which is rare. It's so different to their other neutrals and more neutrals from past releases. How does it compare to the Jackyn Hill Vault palettes?

    1. There's a few mattes in the 35M that aren't as pigmented and the shimmers are a bit different. The Jaclyn Hill shimmers don't have any glitter particles. I didn't have any issues with my Vault palettes.

  3. I love your makeup and so good to see you featuring yourself! Was just about to ask what highlighter you were wearing and saw that it's Champagne Pop! I need to start using mine again.
